More gray in real life

Both the ink name and the website images (particularly the swatches, which are supposedly the best reference) led me to think that this would be a pretty, muted purplish ink with some gray undertones. When I wrote with it, the ink came out almost gray. Thinking that maybe I just didn't clean my pen thoroughly before loading the new ink, I tried painting a swatch with a clean brush. It was still more gray than mulberry. Disappointed.
